Getting Started

You can get started helping by going here.

How Can You Help?

1. By Finding typos. We all do it. We misspell a word or make a grammatical error. Thing is there is a lot of content to go through. If in your reading you find an error? Send us an email, private message, or something else letting us know what page it is on and what the typo error is.

2. Unfinished Pages. Yes we've made a lot of pages but we've also got a lot of work to be done still. If you find a unfinished or blank page. Let us know? We'll try to make sure to put up more content as time progresses.

3. If you'd like to write up content for us? Please contact Burne or Rebel and we'll be glad to find something for you to do. Or maybe you already know what you want to do. Contact us and let's see if we can make it work.

Thanks!

Beginner's First Steps

Here is the page for Approved Book Material. All books are approved for use but some have restrictions on what can be used out of them.

What do you need to do first to be ready to play the game? Listed below are some steps you need to take to play the game.

1. Read the House Rules Category page. Be familiar with the rules or changes when submitting to the Staff.

2. Once you are ready to make a character go to the Character Creation page and follow those rules along with the rules in the book on pages 13-15 in the Saga Edition Core Rulebook.

3. Once your character is created, submitted, and approved you need to know where your character is playing In Character so go to the pages detailing the setting by reading the Room Descriptions page. Another good place to find pages to read is the Nar Shaddaa Locations Category page. Not all places have a room but these are other places you can visit In Character on Nar Shaddaa.

Character Concepts

Rebels

For those who desire to play a Rebel I can suggest 1 of 3 core concepts would best fit the overall setting and guarantee you a bit more play. They are listed below. Why these 3? They have the most likelihood of going outside of Rebel bases and actually "adventuring" unlike many who are kept with the majority of the Rebel Forces these groups were often on the edge fighting in smaller skirmishes that were just as important if not more so than the large Epic battles such as Yavin or Hoth or Endor.

Rebels should be one of the following Organizations inside the Rebel Alliance:

  • Jedi - Right now the Praxeum has been around for approximately 8 years though only in the last 2 years did it become public knowledge to the Rebel Alliance. It was formed by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi against Yoda's advice. Master Yoda is unaware of the Temple, as far as everyone is concerned the old hermit is dead. Those who were trained as Jedi were given a rushed and grueling course in Jedi training. 12 to 15 hour days, 6 days a week for several years. It was a strain on the old man at times but he knows they will be needed for the new Republic once the Empire is overthrown.

Force Powers need to be category 1 at creation and all those at category 2 require GM approval at later levels.

  • Spec Ops (Special Operations) - Not to be confused with Special Forces, Spec Ops or Special Operations is a group of agents who were the best and brightest (which Special Forces would argue) were sent to do undercover missions for the Rebellion. This will be the most likely type of PC you will play if not a Jedi or Pilot for the Rebellion. Keep that in mind when making a PC.

Wookiepedia page about Spec Ops

  • Wraith Pilot - Major Kyra H'darr commands the local Wraith Squadron. Only a handful of Rebels desiring to prove themselves capable of being a fighter pilot, these upstarts are working from the bottom up to earn their place among the stars and the elite as an exceptional fighting force to be reckoned with. Those who start at level 1 in Wraith will have to earn their place but those who meet the requirements when they become Wraiths will have their armor given to them. At the moment no ships are available to be assigned to anyone specifically. Everyone uses one of the three Z95s available through the Major.

Fringer

  • Bounty Hunter - A member of the Bounty Hunter Guild, you hunt down and capture acquisitions for credits. Anyone can be your boss if they pay well enough. some call you mercenaries and they aren't far from the truth but you have your Creed you live by. You aren't lawless, you just do what it takes to survive in the harsh and cruel galaxy same as the next sentient.
  • Criminal Element - Do you have what it takes to be a criminal? Are you a member of the dark underbelly of the Moon? Then you are likely a member of one of the Hutt Cartel's Kajidics here on the Smuggler's Moon. Assassin, Smuggler, Hired Muscle, and other obscure jobs are your means of living. Working for an Underboss or if you're lucky or cursed working directly for the Hutt Boss himself. Tread carefully for your ally today maybe your enemy tomorrow.

Note: Only the Besadii, Desilijic, and Faljozic Kajidics are available to be joined to help concentrate where the PCs join and work with. Please state which clan you desire to work for if you choose to join.

  • Mandalorian Protectors - Mandalorians. The name used to cause the entire galaxy to quake in fear...and it still does most of the time. A squad of Mandalorians is often more feared than an entire regiment of stromtroopers. Still it isn't all but about death and carnage. Its about Family. Camaraderie. A culture fighting to free their home world from slavery and strip mining. In so doing this they deny the Empire the precious ore they covet. Beskar. Will you take up the mantle of Protector to defend the people and culture you love from total annihilation? It's coming. You'd best decide quick!
  • Merchant - Either as a part of the crew or as the Captain of your own ship you sail through the stars looking for the next big shipment to put more credits in your pocket and food on your table. the cost is great but the rewards are even greater for a successful merchant and his or her crew.

Sith

Sith characters will be trained by Kadann and the other prophets on Roon. They have the choice to either be recruited early by Kadann in 2 BBY and taken to Roon or recruited from Roon. Characters must be force sensitive but do not need to be jedi class at level one. All characters must have a written background to be approved.

Force Powers need to be category 1 at creation and all those at category 2 require GM approval at later levels.

Organizations for PCs

We now have Organizations players can join. With these additions to the game comes several things we the Staff would like to inform the players of to help with the questions.

1. Only two Organizations can be automatically joined. Spec Ops and Jedi(Those with Force Sensitivity Feat at creation whom are a part of the Rebel Venue). All other Organizations have Prerequisites that must be met to join a specific Organization. for example you must purchase a IPKC License (for 1,000 credits) to join the Bounty Hunter Guild.

2. Organization scores will be updated bi-monthly. The scores are posted publically and how you earned them so a player can help keep track of their own score. We're all human. We all make mistakes. If you see a mistake don't be afraid to bring it up. We'll fix it as promptly as possible.

3. You can not gain a double bonus by completing a mission for the Jedi/SpecOps. You accomplishing missions will apply to one or the other if the mission is Jedi/Spec Ops oriented. There will be times when the mission is only one type or the other and not both. This is in relevance to "double dipping" score points for Jedi or Specops when your doing an unrelated mission. Example: A Jedi does a generic acquisition mission for the group at large. They've chosen to focus on their Jedi score. They get the score for the Jedi completing a mission but not the spec ops because they chose to focus on raising their score with Jedi not specops and you can't have both.

Warning about being a part of Multiple Organizations

The Staff are not trying to punish any player who seeks to be a part of more than one organization. However having a membership in multiple organizations can be detrimental. Especially when multiple organizations can mean you have an ultimatum. Help X Organization or Y Organization as they both need you at the exact same time. It won't happen too often but it will probably come up. It is advised pick one organization or if you pick two that they have very similar goals.

What is an Organization?

An Organization is a group controlled by Gamemasters that a PC can join and work for to earn various IC benefits and prestige besides being the "highest level" character in the game. Some benefits, awards, perks, and other just general roleplaying elements can only be acquired through being a part of an Organization. How does one join such an awesome Organization? Easy as speaking with the appropriate GM for the specific Organization. Listed below is links to the page for the Organization giving details of what can be gained and lost

For Rebel Organizations you need to speak to Burne.

For the Fringer Organizations you need to speak to Burne about the Hutt Cartel, RegretNot about the Mandalorian Protectors, and you can speak to either of them or Rebel about the Bounty Hunter Guild.

For the Sith Organization you need to speak to RegretNot.

On the Special Orders page you can see some of the things having rank in a Organization grants the Character. Please refer to the Organization itself for some of the other special benefits. Note: Just because it is listed here does not mean you automatically have access to it. Please speak to the GM corresponding to the Organization in question for specifics.
